Well, I’m Matt
I’m a landscape photographer who feels most at home in the wild — whether that’s chasing first light across the coast or waiting for the last glow of sunset over the heath.
I’m based in the New Forest National Park on the South Coast of the UK, and I’m incredibly lucky to have some of the country’s most beautiful locations right on my doorstep. Every day here offers something new — shifting light, changing seasons, and endless inspiration.
Originally from South Manchester, I still find myself in awe of where I live. The contrast between my northern roots and the natural beauty of the New Forest constantly reminds me how special it is to slow down, get outside, and truly connect with the landscape

My photography journey began when I was just ten years old, experimenting with 35mm film cameras and learning the joy of capturing moments on film. That early fascination grew into a lifelong passion, eventually leading me to explore SLRs and the digital systems I use today.
My choice of camera tends to change over the years, but one thing remains the same — I’ve never believed that great photography is about having the newest or most expensive gear. For me, it’s always been about creativity, patience, and the way you see the world through your own eyes. I’m a big fan of Fuji cameras, but you’ll rarely catch me using a model that’s less than five years old!
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to win awards and collaborate with some well-known names in the photography world — experiences that have taught me as much about people as they have about pictures.
Away from the camera, I’m a husband to my amazing wife, Olivia, stepdad to two wonderful girls, Ella and Freya, and a proud dog dad to our rescue pup, Suzy. They keep me grounded, inspired, and always remind me of the importance of slowing down and enjoying life’s simple moments — the very essence of good photography.
